AV Design Services worked with the engineering team at MLB Network to design and install a new Production Control Room. AVDS determined that the existing display technology in the aging control room needed to be upgraded to include current, state-of-the art equipment and technology. Everything was removed including plasma monitors and dated CRT displays, and installed was an entire new replacement, custom designed to fit the space. All display panels were replaced using the latest LCD/LED-based display technology. A custom fabricated extruded aluminum stand was installed to support a precision monitor wall along with the corresponding components and accessories.
Factors critical to the project included minimizing downtime for the television studio, improving production functionality, emphasizing performance, and incorporating ease-of-use solutions along with attractive aesthetics.
AVDS also successfully engineered a custom solution mid-installation, effectively managing a considerable shift in scope. The AVDS team delivered the system on time and on budget, meeting the client’s logistical requirements and technical specifications.
