ABC Times Square Studios: Control Room B

AV Design Services worked with the engineering team at ABC Times Square Studios to design and install a new Production Control Room (B). AVDS determined that the existing display technology in the aging control room needed to be upgraded to include current, state-of-the art equipment and technology. Everything was removed including projection and dated cube displays, and installed was an entire new replacement system, custom designed to fit the space. All display panels were replaced using the latest LCD/LED-based display technology. A custom fabricated extruded aluminum stand was installed to support a precision monitor wall along with the corresponding components, custom cladding and accessories.

Major League Baseball Network upgrades PCR-2 control room. AV Design Services provided a custom refit solution for Production Control Room 2 at MLBN in Secaucus, NJ. 6 NEC X551S professional monitors make up the main display wall in a 3X2 configuration with a separate X551S dedicated for the director. 1 NEC P702 is fitted on the right side of the display wall for the TD (Technical Director). The "bridge" monitors are made up of 5 NEC X461S monitors suspended from the ceiling. Designed together with Brad Cheney, Director, Engineering and Curt Bose, Engineering Manager PCR-2 is season ready.


MLB Network- Studio K debut

Earlier this year, MLB Network converted the balcony area of Studio 3 into a dedicated social-media area, produced the first all-live-audio broadcast, and aired two Divisional Series contests. Before ringing in the New Year, however, MLB Network had one more innovation to unveil: Studio K.
